Key Fob Question

Hi everyone,
I am the new owner of a 1998 RS but it did not come with a key fob. I would like to get one and I noticed that the newer ones are less expensive and easier to find.

So my questions is...Will a 2002 Wrx key fob work with my car? Like will I be able to successfully program it?

I searched but could not find a direct answer.

So I now have a key fob but I cannot get it to program. When I researched I found that the correct fob for the RS is the GOH-M24. Well I bought what I thought was one of those off of a guy on one of the subaru FB pages and when I got it it was a GOH-MM6 instead. Im wondering if I cannot get it to program because it is not the M24 or if the MM6 is also comparable.
