I just did the disk swap on a 1998 Impreza Outback Sport. I used 1999 Legacy rear disk, I looped the E-cable to get rid of the slack. But the issue I am having is that the brake pedal is wicked soft(almost to the floor). I bled the WHOLE system with new fluid(front&rear) there is no more air in the lines.
But when I start the car and apply the brakes they go to the floor. I have to pump them 3-5 times and they are rock solid then go back to soft when I release and drive off. I have to pump them to get them to become solid and then they feel 100%
What I am wondering is should I swap over the master cylinder from the car I removed the disk knuckles? I am a BMW mechanic, so I am learning the ins and outs of Subaru's workings. Is the drum MC different from the disk?
Also is there a T or something that needs to be swapped? I went over the DIY thread and there was no mention of this being an issue. Any insight would be awesome!
