like a lot of people, one of the only things i envy about the wrxs and stis over my car is those beefy fuckin fenders, so ive decided to go through with a wide body conversion

ive found a few in my price range, and i want some peoples (preferably a lot of peoples) opinions on the looks and instalation process of these widebody kits ive found.

FIRST is the 22b replica from ht autos
GALLERY. Pictures of Wide Subaru Impreza Body Kits and Styling Products.
(search the pictures =) )
i love the looks of this one, BUT it doesnt come with the front bumper and rear bumper which is necessary for the conversion, and its cheaper. the only thing thats REALLY keeping me from it though is their front bumper comes with built in fog covers- and i want fog lights lol

SECOND is a custom (original) design by Aeroism Research Ltd
Carbon Roofs and GC Widebody Kits - NASIOC

theres just something i dont like about Aeroism reserachs kit though but i cant explain what... i do like how it comes with the front and rear bumper though, and i wont be shipping overseas.

of course theres others, like trial widebody

^^^fucking sexyyyy but wayyyy too spendy

anyways, itll probably be between these two but if theres others id be happy to check them out, and i appreciate all feedback. thanks!

I went with the AIT b22 kit, which I see is not on your list. It was by far cheaper than all the ones above, I paid less than $550 shipped to my door for all 4 fenders. However, the AIT kit doesn't give the aggressive look of the kits you seem to be interested in. Check out my member's journal if you want to see the AIT kit molded on a car with stock bumpers and side skirts. It was alot of work to get the rear fenders to fit properly, and there still are minor fitment issues but they are minor and hard to see from a quick look. I have quite a few pics of the car, so you can go through and see if you can pick out the imperfections. Anywho, let me know if you are interested in the AIT kit and I will gladly answer any questions you may have regarding this kit. Of course HT Auto's has a nice install photo album of their kit on their website, that's where I looked to see how to cut the stock rear fenders.

Two thumbs up for the widebody choice, I think that is the one thing our generation (93-01) needs the most, well that and some BOOST.
hey thanks for the AIT proposal! no i havent seen it before but damn that is cheap... i think im still leaning towards the ht autos because youre right, they do look wider and more aggressive, and i like that haha. but ill pm you some questions about yours just in case

Whats your budget?

Can you do any of the work yourself?
i can do pretty much all the work myself, and i have a friend who does body work/paints still :D so he can help or let me use his tools.
not really setting a budget, i just know im probably going to go with ht autos but have to expect at least another grand for supplies and tips to the friends that help

you will never find a Trial kit they don't exist anymore, last one is on Arthurs GC :p

Ht will probably give you the best fit.
ya ive seen it on that website too, but that eight grand MIGHT include labor? doubt it...
but arthurs car is SICKK i found it while searching widebody kits, thought that would be a good way to go till i looked up the listing price...
why do you say its not available any more?
