Recently i have had lose of power till 3k and then stuttering every once and a while through the power band... We read the codes and we got knock sensor,02 sensor, and throttle postioning sensor. NO GOOD

so i got a new knock sensor rigged that bad boy in... still same problems... did spark plugs and new coil pack...... same problems but smoother up high in the power band... so today after doing these maintenance tasks i decide to get the codes read again..

all still there.... but now here comes a kicker we unplugged the the throttle body sensor and put it back in (while car was off). Once we started the car up the rpm's ran all the way up to 6k.... so i shut the car off and got a huge CLUNK... fixed stuff made the sensor into the lowest postion started back up another clunk on start up, idle raised to high ones close to two and settle around 1,500 rpms =-\. DIDN't look good at all and it would back fire much more then usual.

we turned the car on and off and reset the ecu.. started up andrpm went to about 1,200 and settled. driving the car is horrible and i really do not want to drive with it anymore....

ALSO something we noticed was the egr valve vaccum hose wasn't sucking much AT ALL.....

this is very scattered and could be confusing if you have any question that would end up helping me out please ask...

thank you

I had a similar problem back when i had the ej25. The problem was the Idle Air Control Valve. I never got a new since i was getting an engine a couple of weeks later. Im not saying that this IS the problem but sounds like it could be. Good luck!

Willie

P.S. I had to drive my car above 4k RPM in order for it to run normal. Drove it all the way to Springfield, Mass. from Delaware. Crazy day.

i have read that but that doesn't explain ridiculous high idle =-]

well going to the junkyard today to get other things might just grab a few iacs egrs and plug them in see if it's a difference

Sounds like a grounding problem to me. Check out your chassis to frame ground. It is very weird to get three sensor to go bad at once. What exactly are the codes?
