I seiously doubt that all 4 are bad. It doesnt usually happen that way. See if anyone has an ecu you can plug to try to eliminate that possibility.

 

Not the spark plugs, not the coilpacks.

Code is still up, we're starting to think it might be an eletrical issue.

I'm also still getting a P1306 Trouble Code [ocv solenoid valve signal 1 circut malfunction (open)].

u dont have your green connectors connected right now by chance do u?

 

They shouldn't be. I havent touched them. my guy touched them to pull my ROM, but he said he disconnected them afterwards.

I'll try and give Kevin a shout. I'm working until 4 today and then got to run to do a lot of other things.

 

what ecu are you using? are you still using the jdm wrx or are you actually using a v7 ecu now? do you have a lightened flywheel? if the cel is flashing then its likely a misfire... or at least the ecu thinks your motor is misfiring. is this at idle? my old rex motor did the same thing, but my rex motor was usdm, and i know yours is jdm, although theres not a huge difference. i might be able to help you out.

 

Using STi V7 ecu.

Stock WRX flywheel. Its a steady CEL, but will go off at times. It's not a constant flashing. It happens at idle, and while driving.

I think Its gone now, but I'm not sure. Since I got into an accident I can't exactly check it.

 

definately sounds like a coilpack. one of my coilpacks was shot on my rex motor and did that. tested the ohmage or ampage or whatever on each of them, found one that was lower than the rest (can't remember the exact specs). we swapped it and the problem went away.

 

Oh, I forgot to mention. I already replaced all 4 coilpacks. Hence why I'm starting to believe it it faulty wiring.
