What air pressure would you run on a stock suspension w/ 20mm rear swaybar and toyo proxes t1s 205/50-16. 2000 RS Max air pressure is 44psi. I want more oversteer.

Thanks

well, for really tight turns (autocross) to prevent too much understear put the max. recomended in the fronts, and put a little more then usual in the rears.

the best way to find out if you need more air in the fronts, is to get a tire pyrometer, after the tires are heated up from many fast corners, check & see if there's a uniform temp. across the front tread, if the sides are a signifigent amount higher in temp then the center, you need more air...

According to my manual standard pressue is supposed to be:
Front: 32psi
Back: 29psi

Im gradually increasing that tho, cause I found that it made my tires feel flat.

Also just to confuse everyone,
My defensive driving instructor said low tire pressure caused blow outs, cause the tire walls "wobbled" since they weren't under enough pressure, causing friction and heat... (prob full of crap tho)

But I woulda thought if you're back tires were too high you would end up with less tire on the road (ie just the centre) and the back would go out easier... but I never tried adjusting the pressure for that... Since I used to drive RWD, getting oversteer was a matter of accelerating.
