My Window Keeps Falling Off Track :/

The issue is that the inside rail closest to the car body is falling off track when I roll it back down. It wont keep a consistent pressure on the rail itself so when it gets about halfway down it seems to just fall off the track and slant. You have to line it up on the track again to get it back up.

Here's the window a good portion of the way up sitting contentedly on the track :D

Here's an up close shot of how it should look all the way down the track:

Here's a picture of it starting to get depressed and lose hope for it's quite purposeful existence:

And lastly..."Goodbye, cruel world"

Anyone have any idea of a way I can get the frame to continue to stay on the rails? Initially I tried a wire, but unfortunately it wont roll all of the way up if anything is in front of the rail since it will get caught on the top part of the rail since it's protruding slightly.

Let me know if you need any more pictures, but I'm pretty sure you should get the gist of it from these. Thanks guys :D

Probably :/ I was hoping to not have to replace anything.
For something like a window I have no problem with rigging
it if it'll hold up decently and it's cheap. There also arent any
Impreza's in junk yards around here. I suppose I'll have to keep my eye out.

yeah just fixed it, two bolts fell off and were inside the door frame and one bent the metal and popped out so pretty much the entire power window system was unbolted, what a PIA to fix, but works great now. And as a precaution I went to the passenger side and tightened em all up LOL.

what about the two nuts on the "b" rail (i think its what its called). That little piece on the regulator that has studs that you just fasten to the door with nuts is the piece that adjust to control the slant of the window if its off. is your window going down crooked? and i wouldnt ghetto rig anything in the window system because my window was acting up and it shattered on me one day when i went to put it down to pay a toll. not fun to deal with. but check that little rail that bolts in around the center of the door.

did you try what i just suggested? does the window go down crooked?

i just fixed my shattered window and it is a window for now... still need to figure out why it is making noise. im going to loctite the hell out of everything in there. i also figured out the improper way to pull off the outer window moulding.

Oh wow, never even saw your post. My bad.
Yeah, the front part of the window just falls straight down as you roll it down. The pictures in the first post should help clarify it. Can you take a picture of what you're referring to?

Yeah, I read somewhere else about your window exploding the other day. Weird stuff. How is that?

Also just thought about something. We still say roll down the windows even though it's electric in 90% of the cars these days.

im at work so i dont have much in the ways of photos, but there are two points where the regulator/motor mount to the door. 4 bolts on the motor itself and 2 nuts fasten an arm of the regulator to the door. its horizontal and towards the center of the door. one of the holes for that arm is long vertically so you can loosen the nut and slide it up or down. That adjusts the angle of the window as it opens and closes (granted this is all for a coupe...d'oh. I just remembered that) so let me know if this is for a coupe or sedan/wagon.

If you don't have the service manual, PM me and i can send you the pages on adjusting the angle of the glass. but i would check to make sure that the bolts on your sash (the black rail that your glass keeps falling out of) is totally bolted down and that everything else in the door and window is secure. when i just put in my new window, i got the glass into the sash and was working the window up and down to get to all of the bolts to tighten them and once i tightened them all down i saw that the window guide came out just like yours does. I just unbolted the sash and wiggled it back on track, rebolted the sash to the door and its been fine since. so recheck all your connections.

Edit- you can also check out BansheeBoys DIY on installing a new regulator for seeing some of these things that i am talking about. that helped me in understanding the whole process.
