Keyless Entry - FOB campatibility?

Picked these up from another forum and I was wondering if these will work for my 01 RS. The post said they would but after searching the part number (88035AC230) I see that they might have been for an older Legacy and still other links say that they will work but I have read that there were different manufacturers for Subaru and they might not all be compatable. Thanks in advance for your time.

Also, I do not see a program button the the FOB as described under the DIY programing section. Are there instructions for said FOB.?

Those are some old FOBs but they still only have a 2 button setup so this may work:

To program a fob to the factory security system, you have to push and hold the little reset button under your dash until the car chirps 3 x and goes into learn mode. Then it'll program itself to the 1st button you push on your fob. This should be the "Unlock" button.

Also, should those not work, you can always just Ebay CodeAlarm KeyFOB's and you'll find plenty of the OEM '01 style fobs...

those FOBs were used in 2nd gen legacy GT/outback, 3rd gen legacy (all), some bugeye/blob Impreza, and looks like foresters

lemme know if it works with your impreza because i have the older style keyless for my 98 legacy (not GT/outback) and the buttons are wearing out
