Wow! what a pita to install. As many of you may have read on the scoobymods page, the new bushing's holes for the bolts seem like they are 2 mm too short. Thus getting the second bolt in is like hell. I found that sticking the bolt in the new bushing's holes and kind of pulling the top of the bolt to the side (like the arrow in the picture) helped.

As far as performance, for 30 some bucks, its not necesary however having every other piece of kartboy shifting accessory for my suby, i thought it was kind of ludicrous not to have it. It gets rid of some of the play in the shift both when in gear and when selecting, really no disadvantage to speak of.

product: 8.5/10
install: 4/10 on the suck scale (10 being a joy to install/easy)

Thank you for this. I will be doing this when I get my KB SS. Could you post the link to the scoobymods DIY? Thanks again!

Here's a follow up on my Kartboy stuff. I haven't installed anything yet as I'll be waiting until next week, after my 60k maintenance has been done, to install the Cobb short throw and Kartboy bushings (shifter & rear shift).

I'd just like to say a huge kudos to Kartboy. The shipping was tremendously fast. I placed my order very late the night of the 26th, got the confirmation of it the 27th, and everything arrived today (yesterday, whatever) the 29th. They're in San Diego and I'm all the way out on the East coast! So.. awesome order turnaround. Thanks a million! The bushings look fantastic.

Sorry for the old bump, but wanted to add another tip to the notorious problem with the rear bushing bolts not threading in easily....

I just finished installing my rear kartboy bushing and had a hell of a time getting the bolts to line up, working both from the underside of the car and from the inside through the hole in the floor...

After an hour or so of swearing at it, wiggling the bolts, trying either side first, all the usual tricks, (I was about to either drill out the bolt holes in the bushing or just not use it at all and say forget it)..... then taking a break, I found a trick that helped get the second bolt in.

While sitting inside the car...
I put in the passenger side bolt, (with the rod pushed into the hole) not torqued all the way down.
Then, with one or two fingers on my right hand I pushed towards the drivers side against the middle 'square' part of the bushing, stretching it ever so slightly..
All the while I had the drivers side bolt nearly lined up and ready to spin with the fingers of my left hand, and with just enough force stretching the hole over, I got the driver's bolt to thread in.

Just wanted to help anyone in the future fighting with this...
