Can you put like ouback springs and struts on a normal impreza coupe, I have a 01 2.5rs from canada

what part of canada do you live?
i dunno if you need to even lift these cars in the snow. the AWD really gets a guy through the snow really good. i just lowered mine at thanksgiving and i still dont have any problems getting around

I would keep the ride height hight cause I drive a GSX R 1000 in the summer and I've had this car for four years in edmonton and it would be nice to be a little higher. My rear struts are done so I was thinking of getting new suspenison to stiffen up the ride and if i was using coilovers i would use the higher setting. Any other ideas for a stiffer and higher ride, my impreza has always handled soft I don't know about you guys.

Yes, of course. But that is a bunch of labor ($$$) to go through twice a year, eh? Sounds like coilovers might make sense for you. Put them on once and dial in yoour ride height!

i mean if he is gonna be doing this for a while might as well do it himself. i say get another set of struts/shocks and put it with the winter springs so when the season changes you can just swap the whole unit which is alot easier.

Its very possible. Depending on what yoru suspension is now though it may not be neccssary. I am running a pretty mean drop, and we get a decent amount of snow here in Minnesota. It have been fine for daily driving. when i have fun in teh deep thick stuff i run into some problems.

I say get some awesome snow tires (nokians hakka RSi or hakka 2s) and you will be set.

My winter set are KYB GR2 struts on 2.5RS springs
Summer setup is BC Racing Coilovers 8kg/mm f/r.

I need to get an alignment this spring when I put all my suspension bits in.

I have RS KYB AGX struts with 2007 outback (OBS) sport sedan springs and group n tophats, this lifted the car just a little shy of an inch. I would sudgest either finding cheap springs from a used car, or just go ahead and buy some coilovers. The set up is nice, but the time and money wasn't worth it. I would have just threw in the extra couple hundred. good luck.
