same problem. mine started after a coolant flush. done one recently?

 

anyone knows what could be wrong with it?

 

mine does this too, every few minutes it hisses.

 

What you're probably hearing is the refrigerant passing though the expansion valve. Its located just before the evaporator inside the heater box. The expansion valve creates a restriction in the a/c system so the refrigerant can change from a liquid to a gas.

As long as your A/C system is blowing cold and you're not constantly recharging the system its normal.

 

Yup same here, its normal. You also can hear it gurgle a little when you stop after a hot summer day, if you listen close.

 

constant hissing and no cold air is the expansion valve trying to get refrigerant through. i was like wtf is that sound, then i went to get it serviced. they found that i had major leaks throughout my system and i was low on refrigerant.
