You know it is time to make a thread when you leave for a bit and get 14 pms about eg33 help:drunk:

This thread is a catalogue of wiring diagrams, schematics, troubleshooting, and help in general.

What this thread will answer:
What wires go where?
What do I cut from what?
How does X sensor do Y via Z?
I am having a problem with X not working as it should

What this thread will not answer:
hay how can i wire my kar for h6?
wut does no starting meen?
will u wire my car?

Background: I've wired 3 entire EG33 to OBD2 harnesses from scratch, and continuously update/maintain the one that is in my personal car.

I am asking that nobody pm me concerining wiring questions, or inquiries to wire it for you. I am very busy and have literally 2 hours to myself each night. However, if a handful of people want to get together and have me do limited wiring each, I'll quit my weekend job:mamoru:

I have OBDI and OBDII svx wiring diagrams. I have compared them both page by page, and the only difference I have found so far is the rear o2 sensor. OBDI only has the 2 front 02's, OBDII has an additional 02 sensor. Wire colors are not the same, and pin numbers are different due to another major difference- the ECU plug- going from the 4 separate plugs ( b59, b60, b61 and b62, yellow) to one large 96 pin plug ( b59, dark grey).
I have not been able to find the ecm i/o for the OBDII, but by tracing wires and comparing to an OBDI i/o chart should be pretty easy- doing that now.
I have lots of pdf's for referencing (svx, foz, preza, leggy, sti- various years), if anyone needs anything please post up- don't mind sharing at all. OBD info, canbus info, diagrams, wiring, mechanical etc.
I've been gathering the info to help with my own little project...

It'll be easier to drop an ez30d in there, fitment wise.

You should find an SVX shell and bring it back to life with that eg33...

Edit: wait, do you wanna run the obw as is with an SVX ecu? The 6 cylinder ecu won't run a four cylinder, at least not without major modifications to the programming.

Got the car running a couple days ago, just took it for its first test drive last night unfortunately it is very bogged down during acceleration until around 3-4krpm. O2 sensor? Coolant temp? VSS? Timing? The car revs prefect while sitting in netural with the exception of a bit high idle ( not sure on exact rpm because im waiting on my tach output converter)

Hello, i hope this thread is still going. I am finishing the install of a 1997 eg3.3 into my 2006 forester, I am having issues with it idling properly. When it starts up it goes into a high idle, like 1500rpm-2200rpm, it idles down some to about 1000-1200rpm but haven't gotten it to idle any lower. I noticed that there was talk about the Vss being hooked up, i haven't hooked this up yet, hopefully today I will. Any help would be greatly apricated! Thanks
