flip-flop trunk lid?

I see lots of cars at shows with that flip-flop trunk thing. Apparently it's pretty easy to do and doesn't interfere with the trunks integrity. Is it possible to do to a gc8? Has anyone done it? Is it acceptable in Subaru land or is that too honda-like?

I've thought about it. I believe it's basically just switching the stock trunk mounts with some sort of hinge if I'm not mistaken. Seems like it would get in the way but I have yet to see it in person.

Nope you cant do it on any Subaru!! there is an Anti-flip-flop latch :biggest:
