aw man if you are lookin at suspension mods and basic power mods go for the GC. any such equipped RS with a skilled driver can take a new WRX in the twisties no big deal. the only complaint i have with my 04 is that it is too heavy, if i were you i would go for the GC. going fast in a straight line is fun for 10min. twisties last a lifetime.
