Just wanted to document the process i went through building my rs . vehicle started off as a mostly stock RS the only aftermarket part the vehicle had was a warm air intake

after a couple of months of owning the car i really started getting the urge to modify it . at first i told my self "im just going to do exterior mods oem + look " well that was only halfway true .started with adding rep front lip ,fog light covers, coupe spoiler, pro drive axle back
Then i was able to find some of jdm bits and pieces eventually and found a old set of oz Cronos wheel and restored them
found a really cool piece from 6 over crest , hood induction scoop

eventually found v6 sti front seat and v6 sti cluster along with honeycomb grill

after being inpatient waiting for for another base map i decided to fire it up and make sure everything worked

few weeks went by after getting a base map patiently waiting for a final tune while sorting out small seeps and running heat management in hot spot areas

final numbers are in not impressive but boost comes in hard and fast unfortunately turbo really falls off in upper rpm . after searching a few of Australian forms and comparing it to other dyno sheets seems to make similar power as other builds . seems about right for a main line dyno , for some reason sounds a lot faster then it is lol.

Interesting torque curve! definitely love that there is more torques than horsepower. one of my favorite things about the 2.5 liter and it's usually pretty well matched, I'd fully expect the two litre to be higher horses than torque, especially with an 8k redline but likely something to do with it being a stroker.

Thats exactly what I was thinking or expecting wasn't expecting that much of a difference and achieving peak torque that early.
installed more goodies for monitoring and future expansion plans

At what RPM are you reaching peak? I can see it's really early. I know my ported td04 has me at my 12psi target by 2500, it's actually pretty bonkers.

Inspiring man! Thanks for documenting your build and please keep it going. I loved the pic of your manifold in the oven - I about got my ass kicked for trying that shortly after getting married. Again, thanks for sharing!
my wife wasn't happy about that lmao
wanted to update some of the progress I've made on the rs , one of the most frustrating mods I've had to deal with installing white line shelled Polly bushing in rear subframe, rear knuckles , r180 diff conversion , rear Brembo install. white line lock downs and front diff out rigger bushings. while i was in there replaced both rear wheel bearings and installed arp extended studs in the rear

I'm currently fitting a gd subframe due to slightly streching subframe from pressing out bushing in rear subframe i would totally recommend cutting or burning them out especially rear outriggger bushings.

one of the next bigger projects ive been working on is installing spec c intercooler sprayer, fitting gd style intercooler splitter to the rs hood, plumbing and wiring the system to the link ecu and programming to function under 4 parameters . IAT,MAP, intercooler sprayer tank level and Tps .

i was able to 3d print a mounting plate for the sprayer came out pretty good for my second attempt

I finally was able to get ic sprayer triggering under the parameters i set and seems to work pretty good

Finally got some spare time at work to install the STI rear subframe in the rs made a huge difference there's alot more bracing in sti subframe then the rs subframe

close up RS rear subframe

Subframe in and new diff mount

one of my favorite parts of this upgrade that all gd exhaust hangers line up now and all new hardware, should make alignments easier on the car

also found some time to update the waste gate to a newer turbo smart waste gate. I didn't trust the tial waste gate 100% ,it came off a parts car that i had no clue how old it was . also Found diaphragm oil soaked when disassembled the tial wastegate from when i broke ring lands on the last motor so i decided to swap it for a turbo smart comp gate 40. while i was in there i bypassed the throttle body heater hoses and routed them to water cool waste gate . it was pretty fun install
