Hey all...does anybody recommend a place in the south bay to get your windows tinted?

Also, what do you guys think would be the best tint %s for a black wagon? I just picked up a black/black '04 WRX wagon and I'm trying to get it ready for the summer.

Thanks guys!!

Thanks for the reply...

Would you recommend MachIII?

Also, did you get a lifetime warranty?

I got mine done in Hayward, $150 for all the way around, 4 windows and rear and it's all the same % all the way around. No questions asked. :)

Would anybody recommend The Preferred Image up in Redwood City?

Or on the flip side...have you heard anything bad about this place for getting windows tinted?

Do you remember the name of the place or who installed the tint? Searching on tintdude.com I came across a place up there called Auto Mall Tint Specialist...was that the place?

PMed you with the name of the place
Thanks for getting back to me!

I called up Omega, but it was going to be about 3 weeks before they could get me in. I ended up going to The Preferred Image up in Redwood City 2-3 days after I called to schedule an appt. I work in Palo Alto, so it was easy to drop off my car at lunch and pick it up at the end of the day. I lurked around on tintdude.com, where the owner posts, and he seemed like a reputable guy. I ended up gettin all 7 windows (i gots a wagon) for $230 and I'm happy with it!

Got 35% up front and 20% on the rest. I was trying to get enough contrast between the front and rear windows to better my chances of not getting pulled over for the tint up front, but I'm not too sure how well it worked out.

Thanks again for all the suggestions from everyone!

yah trying to get scheduled in at Omega is the only hard part since he's always booked.

that's kind of dark IMO if you are going for that "chances of not getting pulled over for front tint" idea esp on a dark car.
