I know that GD sedan sway bars do not fit because the sway bar is wider than than the GC sway bar.

BUT!!!

If my theory is correct, the GC8/GF8 chassis is the same WIDTH as the GD wagon.

Im looking to upgrade my swaybars but its hard to find parts for a 96 OBS.

Are you running a stock engine and cross member? Whiteline offers sway bars for your car if you're looking to upgrade both front and rear. If you're just looking to run OEM upgrades, I wouldn't so much worry about the front bar as I would the rear, which will take any GD non-STI sway bar without issue. The front bar can be left stock, as it's the same size as the WRX bars.

Confirmed - running a WRX rear on my 97 OBS. Bolted right up and fixed the understeer. Try this before you spend a lot of money on aftermarket bars.

Running a bugeye wrx rear sway bar (18mm?) on my 07 OBS had it on my 02 OBS. Front wrx bars will not fit the wagons but rears will.
