Every freaking company they buy into goes downhill... just look at the new Toyota Camry, I mean Malibu... it doesn't even look like a Toyota! My old 93 Toyota truck had a Delco battery and GM Harrison radiator fer crissakes! They destroyed Isuzu's car line so much in the late 80's that they had to stop selling cars. You couldn't give away one of those Spectrum/Imark abortions! Now they're into Subaru... Whats next, Gonna get rid of the AWD and boxer engine in favor of front-drive "Impreza" with a Cavalier drivetrain?:curse:

Well, while I can't argue that GM seems to have a way of screwing up everything they touch, they do not own any part of Toyota. GM and Toyota have had some platform-sharing partnerships for a number of years, but they are independent of each other in terms of ownership. So, I doubt GM had much influence on the styling of the Camry, questionable as it might be!

I have to agree with moss. The first time I heard that I thought about selling my car because I hate gm with a passion! They don't even deserve capital letters! I WILL sell the car if they start sharing parts!

Okay, I thought about it and take that back-I won't sell the car since gm was not involved at the time when mine was built or when I bought it. I love the car too much. I will just stick with the GC8 and not affiliate myself or my car with the new, improved Imprezalier! I would probably have to debadge, though.

The GM/Subaru Deal has a 100% HANDS OFF Policy meaning GM can't touch em, they are there to get subaru's technology and vice versa...now personally if we had GM ECM/PCM's in our car we'd be LOVING every minute of it. But that's just my $.02.

"new, improved Imprezalier!"
Gawd, you made me spew my tea all over my monitor! Geesh! :barf:

The Avalanche is a concept I just do not get. Not only is it ugly, but turning it into a open cab pickup is pretty impractical. Least the Aztec maybe ugly yet it did have some versatility to it.

Did GM get the idea for the Avalanche conversion stuff from Subaru? I think the Subaru idea was out there first. Maybe that was a part of the reason they bought a piece of FHI. And as to why does GM have to screw up everything they touch? Look at thier lineup: with a few exceptions, there isn't anything left that they own to screw up!!!

Why the hell would Subaru even WANT any of Garbage Motors technology? As far as there PCM's, yeah, o.k., they can be easily flashed for performance, but that doesn't help you much when the PCM shorts out... just ask me how many of their junk controllers I replaced when I worked for Chevy. And by ODB II regulations, our FHI controllers are also flash programmable, we just need a hacker to decipher the programming code, because FHI isn't required by law to release it.

I have to agree. As much as I generally dislike Hondas, They are much easier on the eyes than a crapalier, or a bling-bling Neon for that matter! Domestic compacts just don't look right trying to imitate what they could never be. I'm just waiting for ghettolac to make themselves look stupid again by taking a crapalier and changing the badges! (Think cimaron, or however you spell it!)

No joke...they just finally cracked honda's Hexadecimal code. and look how many honda's there are on the road. Our ecu's suck cause they use 2 8bit proms rather then one 16 bit prom...and i do know they are flashable. Have yet to update one on anything though, seeing as how we JUST got the box to do it ;).
