Which turbo to purchase.

-Used WRX turbo
-Used STi turbo
-GT32R

They are all right about the same price.

What it will be working with;

STi Rods and Pistons
Stock RS heads.
Hydra EM
WRX injectors
blah
blah
blah.

I will be using subachad up and downpipes. Up is 2" Down is 2.5"
Or
I could buy some cheap up and downpipes cut them to fit by the non-turbo x member and SOHC head, 4"dp and EWG kit from Grimmspeed.

I am just curious on which turbo you would choose and why? I would like a STi turbo. I cannot ignore the fact that you can get a brand new GT32R for $600.

I'd get the gt32r if they were all very similar in price. The td04 is small for our big 2.5L motors...

Are you going to be running modded injectors? Also I think the gt32 your looking at is probably a journal bearing turbo. I have never seen and gt bb turbo's that cheap.

yeah, i have a td04 on mny car now.. it spools fast but thats about it lol.. i would go with the gt32r myself.. also made to work with the hydra.. ( witch i also have ) .. i think they have a great spool/boost comp..

yeah the gt32 is not a "r" the "r" is dual ball bearing. The gt30r and gt35r are about $1100-1200 which is really not that bad. Or setup to the gt40r for $1800 and $15,000 in extra tid bits.

now on the Injectors, 06 WRX injectors with smaller o rings should do the trick of fitting in the RS fuel rails correct?

There will not be. The 06/07 injectors actually max out with the stock vf43 after some mods and more boost. A gt32 would need more fuel. but you can mod them easy enough.

haha oh ok. I honestly am not positive on what size injectors they are. I would guess that they are not big enough for the turbo I want.

I was thinking about deatchworks injectors...

I would suggest going with something in the 820cc+ range. I've swapped injectors about 3 times now. If you think you want to go with a big turbo might as well get injectors to handle it now.

What Injector would you recommend?

That would be a drop in, or easily modable to fit in the RS fuel Rails?

Keep in mind I will be doing the Parallel fuel rail mod.

You could just do a moddified stock injector. They usually get you about 820cc IIRC. If you buy something like an rc engineering,bosch,denso or siemens type make sure it's a high impedance.

I was wondering the same thing when I first replied to this. I just didn't say anything.

I bought my td04 for $120 and see vf39's sell everyday on nasioc for $250-$300. And the gt32 is a quite a bit more than either of them!

I would love a VF34, but I cant find one for the right price. I just have not been looking hard enough lol. My ideal boost will be 15-18. I want to get this going the cheapest way but most reliable. Not really the cheapest way. Know what I mean?

I will be using a turbo X member now... What does the GT32 run for flanges?

if you are wanting something cheap and will work with wrx flanges think about an mhi 18 or 20G.....gruppe S sells the 18G for 750 shipped...im pretty happy with mine
