yea like the title said. IMO, the Exhuast temperature guage, air/fuel guage, and the boost guage is the rather important ones.

are there any other guages that would be helpful or important?
Can ya guys list them please!?!?

Thanks for your time!

if you dont plan on tuning the car then all you need is a boost gauge.

actually, if you dont plan to tune you dont need any gauges. just have them set it at Xpsi and leave it there forever.

the question isnt what gauges should you have, but can you do anything with the information they give you?

if your EGT reads 1600 what are you going to do? If your A/F reads rich or lean what are you going to do? you cant do anything with a basic kit.

but anyways, for my car right now i have 4 important gauges. Fuel Pressure, Boost, A/F, EGT. i use the A/F to tune the off boost settings and the rest for obvious reasons.

if you plan to get an EBC dont even bother with a boost gauge, the EBC should have one built in for you.

Im using 52mm GReddy Fuel Pressure, Exhaust Gas Tempature, Oil Pressure, and Boost (BAR). I think these are the most important ones, but you can never have too many gauges.

thanks guys! with a TEC II engine management, the gauges needed would be the ones you guys listed

so maybe these:
EGT
Boost gauge
fuel pressure
air fuel

dunno:
oil pressure.<-----do you really know if it is important? i mean i rises up if you rev high and also is low if your oil is low. Right?

yes, gauges are needed when one needs to tune the engine. Thanx

They're all important. :)

For the record, I'm running A/F, EGT, Fuel pressure, and Boost. I highly believe that those 4 are absolutely necessary when not running an aftermarket ECU (then just drop the fuel pressure gauge).

Truth be told

It's all about the more gauges the better. Not because of the saftey and tuning but because the plain just look cool. You hear it here first it's all about it looking cool. Me I have Greddy; Boost, EGT, A/F, Oil temp and Fuel Pressure. None of my gagues are hooked up to anything except lighting but the sure look cool. Okay I am kidding about none of them being hooked up and I really do use then to tune.

Not that all those guages ever helped you much huh josh...you still need people to ride down the track with you cause the cars always screwed up.

Still gonna sell it? I want parts!

Might

Eh,
I don't try and tune it anymore I am tired of it and the car runs fine. I still will probably sell it but I am not in a huge rush, I will only sell it once I find the car I want to replace it. An Impreza wagon.
