Im looking to buy a set of XXR 527 for a 1998 2.5RS...but what offset should I get? Im looking for 17x8.25.... + 25 or +35?

+25 will most likely stick out, +35 will require roll and pull. anything in the low 40's will need a roll.

An 8.25 with the same offset will be considerably less pokey than freeride's picture. A lot of people seem to not realize widths directly affects offset. If you truly want to know how a wheel will fit break out a measuring device and use an offset calculator online. I would never trust forum wheel sizing suggestions...it is too easy to figure out on your own, and too many opinions come into play to put any weight in the forum opinions.

Yup, when I was choosing the rim for my setup I want a lower offset...say +20. I couldn't get what I wanted then saw the 527's in 9 3/4 with a +25, the extra 3/4 put the rim out as far as I wanted just like the +20 on a 9 inch wide rim.

Like people say use the offset calc and play around with it

I say go +35... Cause if you wanted poke you would just go with 17x9.75...
