I have wanted to paint the calibers on my car but I have been very indecisive about which color to go with. Blue I think might be too much, red would certainly stand out, yellow would stand out even more but I am not to hot on the yellow, Silver might be nice probably couldn’t tell unless you got right up on them. Anyone have any suggestions? What would I have to do to prep the calipers clean with some brake cleaner or I have a friend that can glass-bead them for me is anything necessary? While I am at it I am going to change the pads too all the way around the disc are Australia upgraded WRX cross drilled and slotted (vented F&R) rotors with cadmium plating and the current pads are EuroSport Organic Pads.

Looked at your site. Great looking car. Here is the way I am looking at it as I am thinking about doing it as well. My car is the same color and I am putting on white wheels. I have some minor decaling on the car, all in white. I am thinking about painting mine blue or red. Red only if I want them to stand out, blue if I want them to blend. I am in the same process.

My car is white, but since I have the red www.rs25.com sticker on it I am thinking I am going to go all red for accessories - so I am doing mine red. But, Mike has a blue RS and he did his blue and it looks nice. I can get a picture next weekend - remind me (PM me) if you're interested some time later next week - like Friday. :)

Go black. That's what I want for my RS. And don't listen to anyone who says it's ricey. Maybe it is if you pick some retarded-looking color, and do a crappy job, but otherwise.... it's something that I believe the factory should do. In a time when open-wheels and big brakes are the in thing, you don't want some oxidized chunk of garbage hanging on top of your nice silver rotors. :D

Red is tricky to get away with, unless your car's name is 911 Turbo. Gold looks good on the STi, but I think you need the gold wheels to go with it. Gold with silver wheels might look tacky.

Black's just very simple, and goes with anything. But you have to choose whether you want flat or glossy. ;)

Silver would be nice.....

big brakes have a god-given right to be red. :D

I did mine in Red also and it looks exactly like those above. However, I plan to retouch them before they look like the one below the fresh looking ones.

It's funny how I don't even notice them anymore. They may look a bit ricey (esp. on a Black Car) but hey, I can't afford Brembo's just yet. I'll get them in a year or two.
