I doubt it's a 22B cluster. I'm looking at a pic, and even though it's a small pic taken from outside the car, it doesnt appear to have near as many digits on the speedometer.

STi offered it as an option, so I wouldn't expect it to be found in standard STi models. My "standard STi" was in reference to being just a cluster produced by STi, but not an uber rare 22B cluster.

Its the upgrade for the STI.
Moves the speedo from 180 kph to 280
But there was another part required to adjust the speed sensor accordingly
You could buy the whole dash unit or get the gauges and put them in yourself.

are you sure? I think the cluster just plugs in

btw, EDM STIs had something similar, 8k red zone and 260kms

dscoobydoo is correct. There are other gauge cluster upgrades for higher rpms and higher speeds made by: STI, K's, Zero/Sports, and SYMS Racing. Please refer to HyperRev Vol. 74 pg. 199 for other examples.

im new to this,
but could you put in an STi's gauge cluster in a 2.5 RS?
because i would want to have probably a 160 mph speedo to look at.

Possble, but you would have to make sure the year matches, and you add the recalibration bits to convert from KPH to MPH - do a search, there should be links on this.
