I changed the rules

Okay, someone mentioned that I forgot the 3.3L engine in the post "titles" so I added it. Blame whoever that was ... ;) Then I noticed I did not have the 2.0L engine either, so I stuffed it in there. Finally, someone complained there were not enough turbo engines, so I added them Now I am DONE! :D

So, here is the new listing of titles that correspond to the number of posts you've made (obviously not the car you own, so get posting if you want to make things match!)

1.8L (Minimum Posts: 0)
2.0L (Minimum Posts: 50)
2.2L (Minimum Posts: 100)
2.5L (Minimum Posts: 200)
2.7L (Minimum Posts: 300)
3.3L (Minimum Posts: 500)
2.0L Turbo (Minimum Posts: 1000)
2.2L Turbo (Minimum Posts: 2000)
2.5L RS-T (Minimum Posts: 4000)
2.2L 22b (Minimum Posts: 7500)
H6 Twin Turbo (Minimum Posts: 10000)

No more suggestions are currently being accepted on titles - sorry! :p

Well....

and I'm sure someone might correct me a little or add to the list, but there is also these: 260cc, 360cc, 450cc, 1.3L, 1.5L, 1.6L and the not so famous 3.5L flat 12 from the late eighties F1. So maybe since we are trying to be the original enthusists here, we should use all of these. Then maybe we would have a little history built in. :) Just a thought, even though that would bump me down to like 450cc or 1.3L. hehe...

What do you think?

LOL - I like it - I am tempted to go and make those changes now... I will think about it.

I can imagine the reactions I'll get already... :curse:

Moderators? There aren't any yet, so I haven't even thought about it. Maybe something like that F1 engine mentioned above... Heh... I like that.

Cool... yeah maybe, but the H6 TT sounds damn tempting as well, though. I was looking around for one for a bit too with no luck... damn, talk about a torque monster, though. :D

I was thinking of seriously doing that, but I talked to a tech and he said a lot of the H6's were cracking their crankshafts. That scared me. Maybe I'll look for a 3.3 sometime and go with that. Some of the SVX guys have turbo'd that with no problems.

But first I have to sell my current RS and get an older one (like a 1994 or 1994) so I can afford to do it! My current car payments are kinda rough :p

Humph. I hate that bastard already, like it isn't hard enough to get H6!

And since it's one of the most common questions I've been seeing, I moved it here and stuck it where everyone will see it!

Um, is it just me, or does this method of grading members seem a bit odd to anyone?

How exactly does it make sense to "evolve" from one displacement to another? Does displacement somehow correlate with experience, knowledge or overall goodness?

After all, don't we all have 2.5 liters now? :)

Further, what about this concept of number of posts representing how experienced you are or how much you know? Doesn't evidence from the i-Club completely throw that out the window? Do you really want to encourage the sort of post-whoring that goes on there?

Damn, I'm awfully critical for a newbie. :happynow: :happynow: :happynow:

Yes, everyone knows that specialist has no meaning. But how are you to determine what a person really knows?? As time passes you know who has the goods and who doesn't regardless of posts, but how would you represent that?

With a seven week testing regimen of grueling daily examinations that probe every aspect of Subaru-related automotive knowledge. A track test, rally stage, and stunt-driving demonstration would also be required. Then, you have to replace second gear and do a full overhaul on an Impreza gearbox with a blindfold on.
