I'm not interested in breaking any off-the-line speed records or such. I'd actually be happy with pushing the L upwards around the RS hp to produce a nice peppy daily driver that is fun to drive, but not costly.

A bolt on supercharger would be perfect, but I haven't seen one in my searches of power mods.

What options are there for a modest upgrade to the 2.2l models?

As a fellow 2.2L owner, I'd say save your money and go supercharge/turbocharge/ or EJ20T/EJ22T swap your engine. You'd be much happier.

If you are really itching to mod, get some really good tires and rims, change your rear drums to disks and upgrade the fronts to an RS rotor/caliper. Upgrade your RSB to at least 18mm for now, (if you can get an adjustable 18-22mm, then get it). These mods will make your car more fun to drive! :)

Templar has been putting together a supercharger kit which seems promising.
You might wanna go have a look-see

youthanasia, thanks for your reply!

I haven't bought one yet, though. I'm ready with the money in hand and if the right car happens to come along I'll grab it.

I still haven't decided on the RS or the L which is why I'm trying to research all the options available for the L.
