I’ll post pics of progress here. Final verdict... dry ice doesn’t brake up the undercarriage undercoating.

The beat rush thing is cool.. I’m not gonna use any rivets just have it welded. Plus gotta take care of the busted oe sill lip

Last resort is scraping w fire & start wirewheeling seam areas

I did a thing. Found this mildly rusty 95 2.2 awd fully loaded, light in trunk and all, one owner with a super straight body, auto & 230k on the clock for $1350.

I got new bumpers & aluminum hood for the red build stay tuned.. thus.

all the extra body parts are going on this green boi. Tomorrow towing it to a friend that does body work at his own little shop. Quick respray, rust fix, face lift, and some maintenance and maybe I’ll sell her, or store her. Hm.

Found a defect in the OEM panels. Upon scraping..

The rear inner fender sheet metal to mid under chassis sill/floor stamps are totally different.

In the drivers side..


Passenger side.


I noticed its different since I spent 15 mins removing the OEM undercoating seam sealer in this crevice and looked at the other side.. and the metal is flush. No sealer or coating in between.. hmm
