What do ya'll think? The guy fully backs this product, but I'm weary cause he say's that it was original add on equipment from Subaru... I don't know about you guys but I don't remember this option when I got my 99.

Subaru DID make a kit like this, as well as carbon fiber, but I think it went for a lot less money, like $99. The best bet it to email subaru and ask what it used to cost.

I email them all sorts of senseless questions and they always reasearch it and get back to me. They are very cool about that. :)
I have a genuine CF kit that is cut the same way. It looks good and I like it, but don't think it will look like real aluminum pieces on your interior like it looks in the picture. The problem with the aluminum is it has a clear coat on top of it (you can see it in the pictures). Brushed aluminum doesn't usually have this, where as CF does. The shifter piece does not fit manual trannies right either. All of us who got it in a group buy had the same problem. Subaru might have made something similar, but not the exact same. Dash kit companies seem to be a dime a dozen lately...

So if you want a nice little accent, go for it, but not if you want it to look like real brushed aluminum trim pieces.
