Okay...what is the widest tire/wheel that anyone has used on a GC8?? I have had 215/45/17's on my car on Prodrive P7 wheels....but I want to go wider. The GDA folks can run really large tires, or so it seems, and I just started thinking about this path as well. I have a set of Tein HA's that are set to approx. 2 fingers of space between the tire and fender lip, so it doesn't sit too low. I am having some difficulty calculating the increase in tire width and the decrease in offset, so any info would be greatly appreciated!!

I will be running 17x8 +35 with 235/40/17 street tires. I have rolled fenders. Some run wider, and it sticks out, but they have STIFF suspension to keep the tire from hitting the fender.

Will a 17x7.5" Rim with 215/45/17 Tire rub? on a totally stock suspention?

What has to be done to get a
18x7.5 Rims with 225/40/18 Tire NOT to be an issue?

A 215 tire on 17" wheels will fit with no modifications. If you're going to run 225 tire on a 17" wheel all you have to do is roll the fender. If you want to run a 225 tire on a 18" wheel you better have a pretty stiff suspension with rolled fenders or you will most likely rub.

Yeah, I'm running 17x7.5 (can't remember the offset) with 215/45/17 tires. I only have KYB struts with stock spring and I don't have any problem running them.

Not sure how the rim diameter really matters....

However, good to know, because I plan to run some 04 STI bbs rims w/ 225/45-17s on the GC build.

what about on some stock 98 goldies. 16x7

Could I run 225's or 235's without rubbing?

How about some 17x7.5 or 8?

Thanks!
