Last weekend, I put in synthetic oil for the first time. The car is at 15,000 miles. This morning and around 200 miles later, my check engine light came on. Is there a connection?

Anybody, see this before? I've have a CAI and cat-back exhaust on the car since 3000 miles, so the synthetic oil is the only thing that has recently been changed. I didn't reset the ECU, when I changed it. Could that be it?

It's probably your oxygen sensor - there was a recall on them for the 2000 and 2001 years (maybe others, I can't remember.)

I thought the recall was just MY00. I never got notice of a recall for mine.

On a side note, check your gas cap. Just take it off and put it back on. Oh, but check your fluid levels too (motor/tranny oil), who knows. It might be pissed about something.

Remember, check them on flat ground AT operating temp. If your driveway isn't flat, drive to a gas station, they're usually pretty flat.
