So i'm wondering if it will harm anything if i switch to synthetic after soooo many miles. If it wont harm it how would i go about doing this? any special ways?

^ Drain, New Filter, Refill. Done, shouldnt harm a thing... I have heard something about going from synthetic to conventional being bad, but I can not clarify more on that.

agreed. you won't gain anything from it... except keeping your wallet light

You'll probably kill your motor faster with the synthetic. It'll burn off quicker and therefore the likelyhood of the bearings sucking dry increasing a lot.

i had a bad experienced switching to synthetic with my high mileage wagon. i had to replace most of the oil gaskets to prevent those damn leaks. now i run synthetic and it runs smooth.

Opinions vary like crazy. I think the big thing, most agree, is that you should stick with name brand. But maybe there's even contention, with that.

I use Valvoline.
