Simple answer... Not quite, but could be.

Is it a pull clutch on the 04-05 WRX Trans? The 00RS is a push clutch.
Easily fixed with new flywheel, clutch, PP and slave cyl.

What's the front diff ratio? And the center diff ratio?
The 00RS has a 4.11 rear diff. So, the trans must match that.
I don't know what the 04-05WRX trans has, but I think it's a 3.9 diff.

Sure, you could swap the front diff ring and pinion, but that is a BIG freakin' job. The ring is easy, the pinion is NOT. Easier to swap out the rear diff with a WRX diff.

So.. a direct swap? I doubt it. Workable? Yeah, if you have the means to swap out lots of parts.

You NEED an 02-05 wrx rear diff. You HAVE to have it. The wrx tranny's have a 1.1:1 transfer gear ratio, which means you need a 3.454 or 3.545 ratio rear diff. (I can't remember which one it is)

I would prefer the wrx tranny case but not the usdm ratios. I want RA gears 1-2, NA 3-4 and .825 for 5th with a 4.444FD
