Does anyone have any updates, real life reviews on the status of supercharging for the Impreza?? I saw that Rimmer gave up on the Eaton Supercharger and is working with a new supercharger type. Sounded more promising, but no real life reviews or statements like when he first brought the Eaton unit out back a couple of years ago. Also does anyone else have any suggestions besides Rimmer or Eaton as an alternative? (Paxton, or other centrifugal superchargers). Would love to read on this as the older articles are out dated and the thread seemed to have been dead these past two years. Thanks.

Thanks,

After perusing the forum a bit after writing the post I noticed the thread for the supercharger. The Kit appears to be a centrifugal supercharger (very similar to a turbo) as opposed to the screw-type supercharger. Learned a couple of things too, Mike Shield's SPD Tuning is out of Business, and Rick Rimmer's reputation seems to be in the toilet (probably from the Eaton charger kit fiasco). Would be interesting to see how the centrifugal charger works compared to a turbo and see just how much different is the installation, reliability, heat, and price would be. Thanks again!

Also, Cobb is developing a roots-based SC kit. Check out their forums for more info on it. Nothing officially released yet, so mostly just speculation.
