Are 97 Legacy OB rear struts the same as 99 2.5 RS rear struts?

I'm in Kelowna BC for the weekend and Ive got an oppurtunity to grab some newer rear struts off this old legacy at the Pick a Part before I go back way up north.

Its also got a 2.5 DOHC sitting in the bay with 320,000kms on the odometer.
How easy is that swap? Not that it would be a drop in engine from a junk yard but there must be some value in it. a possible rodding motor for the future. the legacy is a 97 OB EJ25 with an auto trans.

I did a search for the struts and didnt come up with an answer. just hoping someone can chime in before I have to go back home and leave all these parts here.
any help appriciated.

Maybe but it won't be worth the money. Save yourself the headache and just order some KYB GR2's. Lifetime warrenty and you'll love they better dampening. Also get around to doing the fronts aswell.
