like the title says...anyone know what it is? i'm debating between the JUN and fidanza flywheel when it comes time to replace the clutch, and i'm wondering if those 2 or so pounds make a difference in the larger picture vs. the stock flywheel...i.e., is it really worth sacrificing driveability to save 2lbs if the lightened one is less than half the weight of the stocker?

btw, any tests to tell if your clutch is (or isn't) about to go? it's got this weird bog in 1st...

36 pounds!!!? zoinks!

well, i guess i'll definitely have to check into that, as soon as my rear suspension and cash flow dilemmas are solved...no more mods until then... :(

thanks! :D

Ok, 36 lbs - 11 lbs = 25 lbs lost from flywheel change. 2.7 hp is gained per lb off of any rotational mass. Sooooo, 25 X 2.7 = 67.5 horspower gained from putting in the flywheel ARG's using. Correct? Damn, all those years of High School math has paid off! :checkit:

edit: Changed wrong answer. I'm going back to 5th grade.

hehehe, i was going to point out your erroneous math, but then that would make me quite the hypocrite.

while your math is (now) correct, it doesn't quite work that way unfortunately. :( however i WISH it worked that way...i'd be at 200hp n/a in no time. :D

reducing rotating mass doesn't add horsepower, it just frees up what's already there, thereby making it more efficient. also, for those of us with tall gearing, it makes it easier to keep the engine in the powerband, since it revs quicker.

I actually got the wrong answer on accident. Math was (WAS) my favorite subject in school. Anyways, I forgot that it actually just frees up HP and not add hp. Thanks.
adding or freeing up hp, does it still just translate into more power to the wheels? I know... I'm dumb:(
