So i have the option of buying a sti cat back, i believe 04 and was wondering what kind of work will have to be done to make it fit on my 01 rs with stock exhaust.

From what ive read it just a re-angled flange and not using the very front exhaust hanger... will this work?

Yep, an exhaust shop can do all that for you for around $50 I hear. Mine (for a Prodrive oval tip meant for a turbo GD) was $70 though.
