I have enquired about getting a stage 1 done on my Legacy GX 2001 2.5.

The first thing the technical expert said was to remove the Cat Converter in the design as they are very restrictive.

I am for this but are there any other ECU issues I should know about before this is done.If the sensor is disconnected - will it bypass the CAT in the mapping and lead to other performance issues?

Thanks in advance.

If the cat's going to be completely eliminated from the exhaust, you will need to 'fool' the secondary O2 sensor into thinking a cat's still there by either electronic or mechanical means...

Subaru cat are not really restrictive. They use to be a twin design but now you see single cat sections. If you like just buy a hfc
