I plan to swap my 1998 RS with a UDSM EJ257. Now that I have raised $5000 to begin (note:begin, not complete). I have realized that even after doing all the research in how to do the swap, sourcing the right parts can be extremely challenging.

Does anyone have any advice, info, or suggestions for me? I have been on eBay looking for motors to little avail. Are there any other options that may have a better and more reliable selection?

Check forums sponsors for motors. EBay is tough, so many choices. Or, scour the local classifieds, or search out a wrecked STI in your region.

EJ207's are more common to see on ebay. ej257's are out there, but not as many of them and they cost a little more. There's a lot of misc. parts you can use from a WRX and there's plenty of part outs on Nasioc or wherever.
