So I fab'ed up some solid mounts today... Wow major difference. Sounds like a race car, huge amounts of sound from the trans. The whole car just came so alive.

just measured up the mounts and just made them.
the shifting is amazing you can really tell that the engine/tranny is staying in line.
i will get some pics tomorrow. if there is enough interest i may make up a few sets to sell.

I have the gruppe N tranny mount from Z1 Auto. I bet the solid mount might cause problems in the future because it doesn't absorb any vibrations like the gruppe N mounts do.

Is this really that much of a difference maker or is it just the typical RS mod "omg my CAI makes such a difference!"

Won't be long til that breaks something.

Rubber mounts aren't just used to reduce nvh.

It makes a difference. It makes a noticable difference in 0-60 times. It is not something you want on a street car with any sense of comfort.

Filling the trans mount with urethane is easy. PM me if you want some help when you get home doing yours.
