Mocked up my exhaust manifold and tightened the slip joints. Threw the VF28 on there for fun. Also got my 06+ STi oil pan on with a Moroso pick-up tube. Why not take some pics :naughty:

While I was replacing the copper crush washers for the turbo banjo bolts, I noticed that the oil feed had a screen. Reading that these have become so clogged up that they stop oil flow and "blow" turbos, I decided to pull the screen and take a look.

Since I uncovered the Brighton in preparation to finish assembly, the wet weather motivated me to seal up my leaking taillight. I did both just in case although only the passenger side was leaking.

new sealant

old sealant removed

new sealant on

sealing the fasteners

cut in half length wise

Thank you sir! Not too shabby, huh? It helps having a projector screen as a back drop :)

since interior work is a bitch on my legs, I switched up with some gas tank work. GD WRX fuel tank. The RS tank was pretty rotten. Had to convert the GD WRX tank to OBD1 to work correctly with my v5 JDM setup

RS fuel pump tray. IMO better than the GD tray.

WRX GD tray

in the assembly

the hole i drilled in the rollover valve. I reassembled the float with the spring unlike what the DIY thread says. Fills up like factory

Had to grab a fender from the scrapyard since both the RS and brighton had beat up passenger side fenders. Had to fill a couple dings

Sanded down and primed. I didn't end up painting this until much later

My block had been at the machinist while building the car in the previous posts. Motion Machine converted my EJ20G CDB to a #5 thrust bearing block. He also fit some +.5mm stroker Mahle pistons. Yes, stroker.

Got the block back, time to start building.

Decked

Got the girl to play with the lube :naughty:

New heat treated 79mm STi crankshaft

had to install new head alignment dowels since the block was decked

OEM STi forged rods
