I would say run 87 unless of course you had a fair amount of the heads resurfaced. More the .005 and I would be tempted to begin to run 89 because of the bump in compression.

I'm running 93, don't want any detonation considering the mileage on my engine. I'm doing anything I can to baby it until the swap. My main bearings already have a lot of play that allows the crankshaft to move front to back, from a previous owner using a stiff clutch setup.
