Hey guys, not sure where to post this so Ill try here.

I just purchased a 2001 2.5rs but the person only had 1 set of keys. I want to make a replacement. Will any key that can fit, can be used? Or are the keys "ID'ed" like many of the modern cars (wont start the car unless the key is ID'ed to the car). Not sure if you guys understand what I mean.

Are there vendors on this site that sell replacement keys or alarm systems?

There are no chips, immobilizers, etc until 05+ in subaru's. Just Regular old keys that can be made at Walmart/a locksmith/the dealership/ etc.
