The people Ive seen replacing sound deadening usually go with Dynamat, its easy to find and work with.
Redoing Sound deadening foam inside
I’m looking to redo the sound deadening stuff inside my 98 Impreza wagon, I’m just not sure what to buy and where and how much to buy. If anyone knows anything about this kind of thing some help would be very appreciated

I haven't seen any foam in my 2000 RS. Usually, foam tends to hold water and cause rust problems. I've seen a bunch as a body tech.

Dynamat, Fatmat or any other of those alternatives are gonna be easiest to install. Dynamat was always more expensive back in the day not sure of now, but they are all pretty much the same and is the stuff typically used when installing subwoofers
