so, my '95 wagon rear defroster has an odd problem. on the pass. side the defrost wire comes out of the hatch and this attached to a metal clip that is usually connected to the window. mine is broken off from the window. it looks like it could be "soldered" on or something like that. the driver side is fine and connected but i need to fix the pass. side before i get the windows tinted. i will try to get a pic tomorrow if this isnt clear.
any suggestions? anyone had a similar situation?
thanks
james

This same thing happened to my beater leggy wagon last winter - caused the defroster to not work at all, so now no rear defroster. I, too, would like to know of any other fix besides just soldering it back on.

I think your best bet would be soldering...

anything else is going to insulate the connection and cause it to work very poorly. Solder should work fine as long as you're careful with it. I would paint over the final pass with some weather resistant paint to prevent corrosion...but it should work fine.
