The Arizona RallySport Association and Canyon Offroad Park have joined efforts to enhance dirt racing events in Arizona. This new relationship will provide a permanent home for the majority of rallycross, and rallysprint events in Arizona, with a few events being based out of Prescott Downs in Prescott Arizona. Canyon Offroad Park offers 180+ acres of desert terrain, coupled with a stock car track, as well as moto/super cross tracks and a sand drag strip.

"This is a great opportunity for Arizona.." Bill Barfoot, of Arizona RallySport Association "there is room to grow, and the park is very interested in maximizing the land potential. The opportunity for crossover from other dirt racing specialties is enormous, and both of our programs will benefit from it." The park offers the ability to host rallycrosses, as well as enough room for a rallysprint. A new rally event schedule is being calendared at this time. Plans are for a rallycross series with an event every month (pending scheduling) and a rallysprint tentatively scheduled in November 2002, between the Prescott Forest Rally and the Ramada Express International Rally. With the first event being a rallycross schedule for March 2, 2002. For more information on that event, and to register online, please visit
