Thanks! I'm glad someone appreciates fine art!

-3 magnetic sheets ($2.50 each) look in a crafts store / 2 numbers from each sheet.
-1 can of craft spray paint
-Used the Sounvenir Lt. BT font in Bold, then enlarged it to print on some heavy stock paper. Cut that out and used it to trace my numbers out on the sheets then cut and spray.

I spent enough on autoX tires. :curse: I used the rest of the paint to do those little orange vents on the bottom of my front bumper and i want to repaint my front badge. I hope that isn't real ricey!

Peace!

Nah, I think they look better in almost any color besides orange! I may have make a trip to my local crafts store! I never even thought of going there for magnetic sheets, but now that I think about it, that's probably one of the best places for them! :D

Yup, i decided i'm just out there to have fun and not driving for money or a sponsor. Besides I like that font most I've seen made are blocky. I had another sheet I split into and wrote GS on each with a marker, I'll cut those out also. My local SCCA isn't allowing you to write on the windows with shoe polish/window chalk. I thought it was very funny to see a Porshe 911 with shoe polish numbers. :happynow:

That font looks good! I don't think anyone is supposed to use shoe polish on their windows, but a lot of people do (me included). I didn't realize it was so cheap to get magnetic sheets!

I can only imagine! :D There were 2 Porsche 928's at this past weekend's autocross-I love them! I would like to see a 911 run, though!

Oh yeah-I forget to say this. I want to make some numbers to put on the side of my car so I can put all of my windows all the way down. I, unfortunately, have a 4 door, but I still love it!

Sometimes i wish i had that extra door, but most of the time I only have one person with me and i like coupes. To bad Scoobies didn't make a suicide door like the Saturn has.

This is my first season running but they said it was a record turn out of 76 drivers. We ran 3 heats of 5 runs, usually we get 6 runs. Some cool cars came out, 4 911's, 427 Shelby Kit car, Miata with a V-8 and a freak nasty Fiero with 383. But one of the fastest is an old guy in a '76 Alfa Spyder.

Yeah, Yesterday was only my second time. The first time the weather was horrible, so we got 5 runs each. Yesterday, there were about 150 cars driving and the weather was very nice, so we got 4 runs each. I think I had to work the longest heat and I didn't bring any sunblock. I have a very red neck and arms! It looks funny though, because my hands were in my pockets most of the time, so they didn't get burnt! One of the fastest cars was a Japanese conversion Integra in DSP I think. I don't know what mods he has, but his car is very loud and very fast! Some of the fastest people in H Stock were an old guy in an Escort GT and an old guy in a VW Rabbit! How embarrasing for me! :curse:

Yeah, there is some guy with a little HS honda civic that even out ran me (1st in GS). Little econo boxes like that are just so light and nimble. There was a girl with a new Beetle running in HS also, it was cute seeing that run. I myself just can't compute the slower is faster theory yet. NO.... MORE GAS IS FASTER! :happynow:

I have to agree with you on that one; I'm having trouble understanding it too! There was also an older Civic Si in HS, probably a 1990, and he was doing really good too! With the amount of power my engine has, I think the AWD really hurts the acceleration! Rated at 110 hp, but I think I remember seeing one that dyno'd ~70hp at the wheels. ARGH!:curse: Need turbo!
I'm not too sure about that WRX; I don't care for the stickers on the side skirt. But if the car is actually from Japan as the front plate indicates, then I guess it's okay. Actually, upon a closer look, there is an American flag on the building on the right, so that WRX is ricey!

Sounds like you have a love - hate relationship with your car. :boxer: I use to have a little Chevette in HS and part of college, it about drew a tear to my eye when i sold it. :(

I don't know that I'd call it a love-hate relationship; more like a love-pissed about having no power relationship!:D If you liked the car so much, why did you sell it? No offense, but I'm sure you couldn't have gotten that much for it. :)

I didn't hit any cones but i'm worried if they would mess up my lip. I thought about either putting like masking tape on it during the event or I wonder if they make something like stone guard that I can put a strip of that across it.

If it's the stock RS lip you're fine. I nailed like 20 cones over the past few weeks, and the worst I got was some scuff marks. I used a little rubbing compound and they came right out.

But, now I drive with the Subaru factory front end cover on and I have zero scuff marks. :D
