I am looking for recommendation on WHAT and WHERE to buy a 4/5 point racing harness. I prefer the camlock design. Please tell me about your experiences.

Please include the brand name, price, and retailer.

This will be used on my 98 Impreza RS for the St. Louis region SCCA Solo 2 events.

Thanks in advance!

I got my Sabelt 3pt harness from www.primmracing.com . I like it. It keeps me from sliding around the cabin. I don't know if it's Ok for auto-X , I know it's definitely not FIA approved. BTW, if you get in a crash wearing a harness but not a helmet wit a retention strap (to keep your neck from going forward), you could end up hurting your neck worse than if you were just wearing a seatbelt. And if you roll your car while wearing a harness, but you don't have a roll cage, you could break your neck (body can't slide under, like if you were wearing the seat belt). Just thought I'd brighten your day.

Schroth harness!!

Ok guy so far from what I have learned is.
I own a Sparco 3pt and it was 75 bucks!! Very cheap and works< BUT When u tight down the straps the lap belt tends to lift up on you!! That is why u will submarine!! Now SCHROTH makes all their belts with a pre patched extra slab on one of the shoulder straps, which then rotates the body slightly to one side and prevents FROM hard whip back againt the head rest plus it prevents the driver from submarining!! I ALSO bought SOme SPARCO ultra competion seats!! They have 5 holes for a 5 point. The lap belts holes will prevent the belt from lifting up on the driver!! A 5 point really prevents SUbrmarining and LAp belt rising!! Well I would BUY a SCHROTH I own a Sparco and like it and all But saftey first and I cant stand that damn LAP belt lifting on up on me!!

RICHIE RICH!!!!!!!!!

I have a pair of Schroth rally 4pt harnesses. They use stock mounting points, are a piece of cake to install, are dot legal, and easily clip and unclip for rear seat access. I bought them both used, but there are plenty of places online to get them. I'll see if I can't dig up the link somewhere.
