Anti-lock brakes,
over the weekend we change the front brake pads and ran up to the local parts store and while buying the pads the tech behind the counter says "you have to bleed the brakes" in order for the anti-lock to be functionable again?
Now i don't know how you guys do it but i just pop out the old pads compress the piston and install new pads and your done.....right?
He said if you do that you mess up the anti-lock somehow, is he right? Sorry for being so long, any help would be appreciated.

i bled mine, but then again i was changing the brake fluid too. but i'm pretty sure he's BS'ing you. ABS works by sensing differences in wheel speed, which has nothing to do with the hydralics. of course, it can then activate the hydralics, but still. as long as you didn't open the brake system, it should be fine.
