Anyone running the Press On Regardless TSD rally this weekend?

This will be the 60th anniversary for the rally, it is the LONGEST continuously ran rally in North America! It went through many stages and iterations... from a fun-run type of thing, to a car-breaker long distance performance rally that started in downtown Detroit.

I had a buddy who used to do this ( I think he still does) and had a blast. Always wanted to try it but never had the cash to put down for a computer. If I still lived up in the Houghton area I'd be all over it as it's around some of the best driving roads in MI.

I'd love to do this next year.

POR is truly one of the best TSD's in the US, for those who have done it. I have only heard about it second hand, as my girlfriend's step dad has competed many times and has won twice.

For those who don't know, this was an FIA WRC event for several years, before it returned to it's TSD's roots. The likes of John Buffum and Paul Choiniere have competed.

Dmitriy how did you do?

Congratulations go to kainam00 for a win in this event, which I think was also his first (not sure). Somebody else sent me the results, and the brothers won the novice class. Way to represent!

It was awesome! The roads up there are simply incredible, and the driving experience borders on stage rally some times... i.e. the speeds are given in a way to make you have to move pretty quick. Especially at night!

This was actually the third even for both my brother and I, so it's the last time we'll run as Novices. We ran Son of Sno*Drift for the past couple years.

Here is a small video my brother made, those two tracks were pretty "interesting" in places - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLCpYG9kSQw

Even though it wasn't your first TSD, winning it is still pretty awesome. I liked the video, too. Some day, I need to get MY bro to get his 323GTX back together and go do one of these. I wouldn't even have to drive. Really...

I'm still waiting for my car to be finished... They said today or tomorrow. It's been a whole month already.
