Saw this on www.ColoradoScca.org. And I thought the VW's were bad!

Turns on a dime

...and leaves change!

That'd be funnier if he was actually over the cone! Still...had to be a shorts-loading incident anyway!
Now, that's a lot of lateral g's to get a car up on two wheels on a flat surface!
That car has had a rough life. It caught fire when I was at my first autocross (I think that was the car...). Somebody forgot and left a fuel can in the trunk.

OOPS!

I heard they did pretty well that day at nationals they got up on 2 wheels...
:checkit: Looks like a 510....Here in Phoenix those are pretty quick
Its a Mazda something or other, rotary powered and loud. Haven't seen it out and about in a while.

James,
Good job on Sunday! If you could only keep away from the cone on the outside of the loop by the timing and scoring guys. And welcome to STS!

That is the RX3 that caught on fire a year or two ago because the guy left his gas filler in his trunk while driving, gas got a splashin' and the whole thing went up in flames. Crazy ass car built by Dave Dutton I think.
I say gawd DAMN!:checkit:
Two summers ago my good friend put his Renault R5 (Le Car) autocross car on it's roof. Pictures taken during the incident revealed that at one point a good portion of his arm was out the window!

Needless to say, anyone that is loony enough to autocross a Renault is also loony enough to rebuild it after rolling it. He basically took a good roof and hood off of another car, and had a unibody specialist replace the crushed bits on his car. We also cut the fenders and added flares to allow for much wider (13x8) Keizer aluminum wheels with big fat stickies on them. Oh, and he lowered the whole car like two inches. That ought to bring the CoG down a little! :D

I'll try to find my pics of the car post-accident. It's truly awful. The only thing worse was the 2+ hour drive home in his truck after the incident....
