I am debating which rote I should go and I'm confused as to which would be more pratical for a street car that may do a little auto X and also some drag racing.I know that the 2 wont fit but I can handle that.

What I cant decide on is what the better way to do the engine is.

Option 1 that I have in mind............

Ludespeed stage 3 kit with high flow exhaust.

Or....................................

COBB tuning stage 1 heads and cams
High flow cat with 2.5 custom exhaust and borla header
Small 4 to 7 PSI supercharger(either templar's or I'll get a vortech in there)
If I stay below 5psi I will simply use a Scobby racing chip
If I go over 5 psi I'll put a S-AFC and maybe a safeguard.

What do you folks think.I got my suspension and brakes and blah blah blah figured out already.I am lost on how to push my 300 ponies out of it.

What are you going to do about the transmission? At the 300hp level, the 2.5L will be making enough torque to gernade 2nd gear. www.imprezars.com has a high-stregth gearset with syncros for the RS, might be a good way to go. As for how to reach the power, I'd say the second method (heads, cams, SC, exhaust) sounds like a pretty good way, since you will be doing more than just pumping in more boost.

I,ve already decided on getting those gears.I want to do all that work as a one shot deal when I change my clutch and flywheel.I,m trying to do it all in stages so I dont kill my bank account too much and also so I can see how the car reacts to each change.

First stage was my suspension which is done

KYB AGX struts
Eibach pro springs
20mm raer sway bar
Front and rear STI style strut bars

Next is the exhaust and brakes. This is where my problem arises. If I go SC I will buy the brullen header and cat.If I go turbo I have to keep the stock stuff for now because I get a cat and piping in the kit.

After that would be the heads and last is tghe supercharger of coarse so that I can wait and see what comes out over the next few months.

Cool. You hadn't mentioned anything about the tranny, so I just wanted to make sure you had a plan for it. And it sounds like this is going to be a pretty sweet ride when it gets finished (yeah, like a project car is ever finished  ), so be sure to keep us updated!
